I guess somebody forgot to tell Apple there’s a recession going on. Defying the struggling economy and crushing Wall Street’s expectations, Apple delivered its best quarter ever , setting record unit sales of both iPhones and Macs, and producing its largest profit in history: at $1.67 billion, a 46-percent increase over the year ago quarter. by Floyd ClarkHave you continually been shopping around for land and seen land at a genuine deal just ahead of a big rise in the local economy? I understand what you are thinking and that you are now kicking yourself for missing those kinds of opportunities. The Moustache of Wisdom, in “Not Good Enough,” says before we send more troops to Afghanistan, the Obama administration needs to focus on what kind of Afghan government we have as our partner. Here’s MoDo: I imagine that if you called the new consulting firm of Cheney, Che

A report by the Guttmacher Institute released on Wednesday shows that women are choosing to delay having children due to the recession. At the same time, the cost of family planning and reproductive health services have put a strain on those women’s finances. Golf courses across the country are closing down and going out of business across the United States of America at an alarming rate. Florida, the state with more golf clubs than any other state, is seeing this more and more as time goes on. A lot of these failing golf clubs are blaming the economy, and some are even blaming the current state of the golf world in general; but I see things differently, they should be blaming themselves.

A year ago the TUC warned in our economic statement for Congress that we were on the brink of a downturn. But we didn’t realise just how bad it would be. It could of course have been even worse. If the banking system had been left to collapse then the results could have been catastrophic. Today the TUC publishes a new economic statement. The economy is still in a very precarious position. Of course we welcome any sign of recovery, but much of what has been taken as evidence of recovery is th

Nokia is one of the leading companies in the market for mobile phones. They are also trying desperately to come up with some kind of
