5 Stars The Grand Prize Winner For…
… the worst set of reviews I’ve ever read for any movie on Amazon. Boy, you’d think Altman stole their pet or something. How silly for a bunch of reasonably intelligent people to waste their time with completely over-the-top adjectives in describing this movie.
So, I’m giving it 5 stars out of spite. It really deserves between 3 and 4, but I have to go 5 to balance out some of the absurd reviews I’ve read.
Note to Reader: Not all movies have a beginning-to-end plot structure that wraps up all neat and tidy at the end. And not all movies follow conventional Hollywood formula. Thankfully, we have directors like Altman who take a chance within art forms such as this and provide interesting films like Dr. T and the Women.
1 Star Blech
OK, I’ll admit that I found the story of a male OB/GYN interesting. Horrible story line, bad acting, and just generally a poor film.
1 Star Don’t You Dare!
Don’t you dare watch this… unless you are glutton for punishment.
Back when I saw this movie in the theatres years ago, I was with friends. I wanted to cry! I couldn’t believe I wasted $8.00 on a ticket and almost two hours of my life with this rotten flick. Unfortunately, since it was considered socially unacceptable to get up and walk out of the theatre I sat through the ENTIRE painful film.
Even then, I thought that no movie could ever come close to being this horrendous, including those made at home by a high schooler. I believe, to this day, my assumption is correct. For every bad movie I see, I can say, “Well, at least it wasn’t as bad as Dr. T and The Women.”
I hope this helps.
1 Star Do not waste your time
My biggest regret was not reading these reviews before I rented this colossal waste of time. I realize that most rentals are impulsive and we can’t plan out our lives to go and browse Amazon reviews before renting, especially older stock like this seven year old garbage, but still…I have wasted my money so hopefully you don’t have to.
No redeeming qualities about this movie at all. Sadly, I’m amazed at some of the reviewers saying that it is worth it to see Farrah Fawcett or Helen Hunt naked. And you admit this freely? Put away the tissues and get out of your parent’s basement right now! The rest of you, avoid this. Despite some great actors and a reknowned director, this is not good. No characters to like - not one, a ridiculous plot, and an ending that is satisfying only because it is the rotten cherry on this terrible cake, so at least the ending is as bad as the rest of it.
The most bothersome thing is that you have reviewers who rate this so highly on the cover of the dvd, a shameful act of shilling for garbage that makes you doubt the integrity of the reviewer.
3 Stars Another Entertaining Movie from Robert Altman
I’ve seen several of Robert Altman’s movies (MASH, Popeye, Gosford Park, Nashville, A Prairie Home Companion, The Player) and have enjoyed them. Dr. T & The Women is no exception. I really enjoyed Richard Gere’s character and empathized with him throughout. The ending is strange (like Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Magnolia”, as others have pointed out), but I would rather have that ending than something depressing. I want to see more of Altman’s movies after watching this one.

-
A training program that is ideally suited to developing the golf swing because so much of the swing, like the Core Program itself, depends on rotation and movement
- Exercises designed to help them create more torque and balance, thus adding yards to drives and precision to shots
- A conditioning and nutrition regimen that will build strength, power, and stamina, while reducing the risk of injuries and speeding recovery time
- Sidebar quotes and tips from famous golfers the author has worked with

5 Stars Core Performance Gold
This is a great book for exercises you can do at home to help you core muscles and build muscle strength. Easy reading and picture exercise description. Would recommend this for every golfer to help reduce body injury while golfing.5 Stars Get in shape - Play longer
This is a comprehensive plan to build your core, improve your balance and get in shape for golf (and other sports). Mark touches on many aspects of sports preparation including nutrition and stretching. This holistic approach gives you all the keys to succeed and allows you to create a plan that fits you. There is some product promotion, but it doesn’t detract from the wealth of information provided.3 Stars Some good exercises but seems to skip strength
I got some good exercises from this book. You can get the Jan or Feb Golf Magazine and see the main exercises in this book for free. The book actually has a program and approach that I think is well laid out.I think this book should also mention more exercises to really strengthen your core muscles. The focus is overly tilted to flexibility.
5 Stars Improve your game
impressive view regarding the physical demands of the game … and a complete progression of training to improve the components of a reliable, ’safe’, effective swing! stay healthy and improve!5 Stars Great program
I bought this book as well as the Ultimate Guide to Weight Training for Golf. I think this book has a better program, particularly when used in conjunction with the Core Performance web site.Deluxe Wonder Wheeler Beach Cart 2009 Model

5 Stars Best Beach Accessory
For all you beach “go-ers” out there, this IS the product you have been waiting for!Simple to assemble and simple to use. Tremendous amount of room in the mesh basket. The front smaller hanging basket is also extremely useful and very conveniently placed. The large rear wheels dis-attach easily, making it very “let’s throw everything we possibly can in the van and hit the road” friendly. Hanging 2 beach chairs from the front of the cart is a snap. However, depending on the size of your beach chairs, you may need to figure out the best way to hang them so they don’t drag on the floor.
Speaking of wheels, the rear wheels are 10″. That’s big, but when it comes to the sand - size does NOT matter. Don’t expect much magic to happen here. The sand grabs on to those big 10″ like glue. You end up having to drag the cart behind you through the sand to your favorite beach spot (and I DO mean drag).
The side of the cart can accommodate a sun umbrella (folded up). However, I found that the fabric “cup” the point of the umbrella fits into, is a little low causing it to lay and rub against the front swivel wheel, which then can’t swivel. There is a velcro strap to secure the umbrella to the cart, so you can position the umbrella in such a way so it doesn’t get in the way of the wheel. A bit of a pain to manage that (because the umbrella keeps sliding down as you walk), but hey - you’ve got your umbrella with you, so you don’t have to pay $35 daily to rent one on the beach (that’s right!)
Overall, a great product! You just have to be willing to work with it a little.
Get it.
5 Stars Best Ever
Love it. Love the large and small bags other carts do not have. It is just perfect.4 Stars great for other purposes, too, but needs some adapting
As a plein air artist I found this better than anything else I have tried for transporting my easels, umbrellas, stools, paints and everything else over all kinds of terrain to where I want to paint. I cut off the mesh bag and replaced it with a large and much stronger double sided laundry liner which had long velcro fasteners on both sides, so fastening it was a breeze. With the weight of my gear, however, I intend replacing the velcro with which it came with industrial strength velcro. I have only found two problems with it. The one is learning to pack the heavier things towards the front end and the lighter things towards the back, otherwise I found that the cart tips over before I am ready to move it. The other, which might have been a fluke to the cart I bought, is that one of the rear wheels kept working itself off the axle. The factory was extremely friendly and helpful and has offered to send me a replacement axle which should arrive shortly.4 Stars Love it–but it has two flaws that can be a problem
Last summer I was looking for a rolling bag big enough to lug stuff around amusement and water parks. We are a family of four, and I have an autistic child so we tend to carry much more around with us than we need in anticipation of everything. We usually have to carry double the towels, extra changes of clothes and shoes and in an amusement park setting where getting snacks for my son can be difficult, I have to carry all of his drinks and snacks. When my son was still in a stroller this was doable but difficult as it weighed down the stroller. Once he was out of a stroller my husband and I were lugging all this stuff around, and it was getting ridiculous. I saw the Wonder Wheeler in Bed, Bath and Beyond and immediately thought it would be the answer to our prayers. They were out, but I was so desparate I bought the display model. This item has literally saved our vacations. We spend most of our summer at amusement parks and water parks and the Wonder Wheeler makes our time enjoyable rather than cumbersome. It is the best idea on the market for parents who have to lug items around with them. I haven’t even had it a year and I’ve used to countless times. We even took it to Disney and it made our lives so much easier. I can’t imagine what I ever did without it. It’s great for anyone who carries towels and beach gear to tons of stuff. I’ve been asked so many times where I got it, and I’ve never regretted buying it. It even folds up like a stroller if you have to take it on a bus or shuttle (i.e. Disney). There are only two flaws in it that can be a problem. First, there is no brake, so if you have to leave the cart you have to make sure it is on a completely flat surface or find a place to set it against if you are on an incline. Its gotten away from me a few times, and with so much in it, it rolls away pretty quickly.
Also, because we use it so often and folded it open and closed many times, the mesh bag has rips in a few places. At first I thought, no problem, I’ll just order a new bag. But on closer inspection we found that the bag is not removable–it is rivited to the carrier. I have done my best to sew patchees to the rips in the net, but I’m afraid one more summer and it is going to have to be replaced, and that is a shame after spending $60 on it to have to replace the whole thing just for the mesh bag which should be an easily replaceable item.
I have a call into the company, but so far have not heard back.
Even with those two problems though, and even if I have to replace it after this coming summer, I’m still glad I bought it and will eagerly purchase a new one if I have to, that’s how “worth it” this product is.
5 Stars a life saver for beach bunnies
I love this product!!! been borrowing it for years from a friend and just bought this one for my mom and she loves it
Happy Gilmore
May 29, 2009 by Golf · Leave a Comment

Adam Sandler fans are sure to enjoy this no-brainer comedy, but everyone else is strongly advised to proceed with caution. Before scoring a more enjoyable hit with his 1998 comedy The Wedding Singer, the former Saturday Night Live goofball played Happy Gilmore, a hot-tempered guy whose dreams of hockey stardom elude him. But when he discovers his gift for driving golf balls hundreds of yards, he joins a pro tour to win the prize money needed to rescue his beloved grandma’s home from IRS repossession. The trouble is, Happy’s not so happy. He’s got a temper that frequently flares on the golf course (he even dukes it out with celebrity golfer Bob Barker), but a retired golf pro (Carl Weathers) and a compassionate publicist (Julie Bowen) help him to perfect his putting game and adjust his confrontational attitude. How much you enjoy this lunacy depends on your tolerance for Sandler’s loudmouthed schtick and a shocking number of blatant product-placement endorsements, but if you’re looking for broad comedy you’ve come to the right teeoff spot. –Jeff ShannonUser Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars A golf movie that’s actually entertaining.
Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler), a man who dreams of becoming a pro-hockey player but who has no talent at ice hockey, except for an incredible slap shot, finds that he does have a talent for golf and uses this talent to win enough money in order to save his grandmother’s house from being sold to pay back taxes.Although not as good as Sandler’s previous movie, “Billy Madison” (there’s no penguins, for starters), “Happy Gilmore” is still a pretty funny film and likely to please fans of Sandler’s weird and slightly-warped humour. The sub-plot featuring Ben Stiller as an orderly who runs a nursing home like a sweatshop is a perfect example of this. What stands out most about “Happy Gilmore”, however, is that it actually manages to make golf seem interesting. With his hockey background, Gilmore turns his golfing tournaments into over-the-top madness by swearing, throwing around clubs and beating up other players, thus attracting scores of fans and it makes perfect sense, since while watching it, I kept on thinking how I would pay to watch this sort of thing, too. Hey, by buying this DVD, in effect I did. If you hate Sandler’s other films, then you’re probably going to hate this as well. Nevertheless, compared to some of the comedies that have been coming out in recent years, “Happy Gilmore” is much funnier and clean enough to show your children, so it is definitely worth giving a chance.
4 Stars Excellent Family Movie
This is a well acted, fun comedy suitable for the entire family, and especially those who enjoy the game of golf, buts it’s still worth enjoying even if golf is not your sport..overall a fun movie worth seeing5 Stars Best golf comedy
This is seriously the funniest golf movie I have seen. Adam Sandler is hilarious! There are a couple of corney parts but Sandler’s lines are great. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves comedy and/or golf.4 Stars really funny movie one of adam sandlers best
I loved this movie and the acting was solid very funny and I would totally recomend this to any Adam sandler fan.5 Stars It even makes you laugh if you play in French with English subtitles
Just saw it. True…not much in the way of bonus features. But after you watch it once (or more) in English. It’s kind of a kick to then watch in French with English subtitles.
(You can make that selection under LANGUAGE (You can select FRENCH for language and then ENGLISH subtitles.).The reason I find it especially fun is because it really gets me the way the movie critics are so snobby about Sandler…yet some of the same themes are found in foreign films. When Fellini shows characters or actions considered kind of vulgar or grotesque…it’s considered ART. When it happens in Adam Sandler movies the critics call it juvenile or worse.
So, I can’t help but suspect if the critics were presented HAPPY GILMORE as a foreign movie…
(French with English subtitles) and told that Sandler was some kind of neorealist comic…or whatever kind of jargon they might throw around to feel important…it would be acclaimed.Maybe that’s why it’s playing in France… They can appreciate it! (I guess that’s why they took the trouble to dub in French…to sound as though it’s actually spoken in French…with lip synced!) Even the romantic parts play well in French!
I happen to agree that Sandler is way underrated. It’s not just they his films make you laugh…which is a big deal. But I think part of his power in Happy Gilmore and similar movies is that he’s more honest about the range of human characteristics…some noble…some…not exactly noble.,..but human. So, we can identify.
So, even while I’m not enthusiastic about the uncouth parts (and violence) I do think he very accurately expresses our impulses. And he almost ALWAYS plays someone who struggles to do the right thing…
Anyway… Forget the critics…and my ponderous comments. It’s a fun movie!
Blongo Family Fun BlongoBall Set

Blongo Family Fun BlongoBall Set

Want your camping trips, family reunions, RV trips or picnics to be a huge success? Then all you need is BlongoBall! BlongoBall can be played outdoors or indoors and is fun for families, physical education classes, team building games or any activity where you want to add a little spark of physical activity. BlongoBall is easy to learn and fun to play for any age from 5 to 105. Includes: 2 BlonGoals (Racks) 2 Sets of BlongoBalls (Yellow and Orange). This is enough for 2 players or 2 Teams. How to Play The rules for playing BlongoBall are simple and easy to learn. Officially the BlonGoals should be 25 feet apart, but one reason the game is so popular with so many different groups is that the distance between goals can also be closer. In a therapy setting or at an elementary school for example, the distance may be significantly reduced. BlongoBalls are thrown by holding one ball in your hand and swinging it slowly back and forth underhanded. When ready, throw the BlongoBall at the opposite goal releasing so the BlongoBall flies with a backward rotation. Points are scored when the BlongoBall hangs from one of the horizontal bars of the BlonGoal. The game is played until one person or team reaches exactly 21 points. You may throw a BlongoBall and knock your opponent’s BlongoBall off of a horizontal bar. This removes the corresponding points from your opponent’s total and is a legitimate defensive strategy.User Ratings and Reviews
5 Stars Tons of fun!
We are adding to our backyard games for when we have company and people like this game. Our neighbors made something similar out of pvc pipe, rope and golf balls and that was fun so when I saw these for sale, I snatched up a set and also ordered extra bongo balls too.5 Stars Great family fun!
This is a fun challenging game for all ages. Trying to reach exactly 21 points puts an interesting challenge to it. It seems like it is sturdy enough to last many years and will definitely add to the fun memories of our summer cabin.5 Stars BlongoBall
Great game! Great fun. BlongoBall game is sturdy; well-made; and so convenient to have the carrying case to keep everything in one place. Perfect for any gathering! It’s more popular than horseshoes now because the “girls” can get it on the fun! We’re asked to bring it to other BBQs; beach; picnics….so, I know now what I’ll be buying for some friends/family for Christmas this year! Everyone just has a blast playing Blongoball. Received the product in perfect condition and it arrived in about 2-3 days! No complaints here! BlongoBall Set in Carry Box Fun for ALL!4 Stars outside fun
My adult son and I have assembled this and played it, a few times. (Summer in NC to humid)
. Otherwise the game is fun to play; however the construction instruction seems not as clear. The vertical or ladder rungs section needs to be permanently put together, and the verticals can be taken apart for transport, storage etc. A little more “user friendly” by the engineers, or color coding of the “Permanent” pieces would be helpful. 5 Stars Blongo Game Review
This is a fun, family game. It works best when it can be placed in the sand, i.e. beach, river, sand dunes. The only criticism I have is that the “carry box” is just cardboard and will probably not hold up over time, especially if it gets wet. It would be better if the container was a durable and sturdy nylon. I can see I will probably have to replace this box with a plastic container down the road. Overall, this can be played at parties, family get-togethers, etc.Dave Pelzs Putting Bible The Complete Guide to Mastering the Green Dave Pelz Scoring Game Series

Dave Pelzs Putting Bible The Complete Guide to Mastering the Green Dave Pelz Scoring Game Series

Golf’s foremost apostle from 100 yards in, Dave Pelz follows up the bestselling Short Game Bible–his essential testament on how to get on the green–with chapter and verse on what to do once you’re finally there. The lower your handicap, the more of a religious experience it should be.While you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to explain the forces at work in rolling a small, dimpled ball over changing terrain toward a cup that looks far too small for its purpose, Pelz was in fact a rocket scientist by trade. His approach is analytical, theoretical, mechanical, and systematic, brimming with graphs, charts, and illustrations. But don’t let that scare you–for all the science, Pelz and the gospel he preaches are as inspiring as a good sermon and readily understandable regardless of your skill level. Yes, advanced players will no doubt be more intrigued with the depths Pelz plumbs, but high handicappers can draw solace from the quality of the supplicants who’ve sought his counsel–Lee Janzen, Annika Sorenstam, Steve Elkington, and Colin Montgomery, for starters–and proceed from there. Numbers, charts, and graphs aside, Pelz preaches good grip and stroke, proper reading of lines and distances, the importance of leaving a ball in the best location (that only seems obvious), and the need to identify your putting weaknesses, learn why they’re your weaknesses, and address the proper fixes. “Never give up on putting well,” Pelz stresses. By studying his bible and heeding his golden rules, you’ll find yourself standing over those knee-rattling, downhill 4-footers with a lot more going for you than just a prayer. –Jeff Silverman

5 Stars Amen.
Highly Recommend.Genuine and outstanding book on putting. Title is appropriate, because the book is reference sized. Like the “Short Game Bible,” that is a good thing.
This book is worthy and worthwhile, along with Dave Pelz’s “Short Game Bible,” Butch Harmon’s “Four Cornerstones of Winning Golf,” Hogan’s “Five Lessons,” Tiger Woods’ “How I Play Golf,” and of course Harvey Penick’s “Little Red Book.” Add Bobby Jones’ “Down The Fairway” and “How I PLay Golf.”
5 Stars This Book is Worth Every Dollar
This book covers everything from fundamentals of the putting stroke, to how to read the greens, slopes and much much more. This book does not waste half of the entire book talking about Dave Pelz. This book talks about putting and all the stuff that goes into putting.1 Star Not as god as Peltz’s Short Game Bible
I purchased the Putting Bible after reading the excellent Short Game Bible by Peltz. I was disapointed by the Putting Game Bible and feel that it was written to capitolize on his very successful Short Game Bible. The book did not really add anything to my knowledge of putting and seemed wordy as if Peltz was trying to find ways to fill a book.5 Stars the guru
Dave Pelz is a scientist who has studied the art of putting. I don’t know if reading this book will improve my putting; that has yet to be proven. The text is well written. There are abundant illustrations and the quality of the paper, the binding, the illustrations and photographs are excellent. This is not the kind of book one reads in an evening. There are practical exercises, and one must go to the green and apply what has been read. It is a joy to read, and I have a better understanding of why I am missing those putts. It is my hope with persistence I will improve my game, but lets face it … the ultimate test is one that involves athletic ability, perception, and the ability to convert intellectual understanding into action.5 Stars Dave Pelz Putting Bible
Outstanding book!!(I have already read it cover to cover!) It was delivered in a timely manner!! At a fairly reasonable cost!! I’m a very satisfied customer who will indeed order other items in the future!!!Golf Made Simple Improve Your Golf Swing Indoors

5 Stars Can’t Wait To See The Difference
I just picked this up to use over the fall and winter and have not had it that long so could not fully see how it will go, though I am getting better at the drills which I am sure will help. With these tips, drills and exercises I’m already looking forward to next spring. Very clear and getting me to refocus on my game5 Stars best golf video on amazon
The GMS video is clear and to the point. The Drills works well to help you develop feel for the golf swing. The exercises are really good for the golfer to begin a golf workout regime. I have done the drills and added the workout to my golf fitness routine and althought I have had a chance to play yet here in the north I am sure this video will help. I liked the video so much that I decided to attend one of the schools in march. Buy the video do the drills and the exercises and watch your golf game and life get better.5 Stars Great Gift for your Favorite Golf-nut!
I watched this video, and it already improved my game quite a bit!! It is sunny here, but the putting drill alone is worth the price of the DVD. The video work is simple and direct, no flashy distractions, just clear instructions. Using simple techniques, and systems I am sure this will help any golf nut that you know, and the price is quite nice!
A bonus is the features on how to use an exercise ball to create what Marc calls “core strength”, which is very helpful for the non-athletic golfer.
5 Stars This will DVD may fix your back pain as well
I treat non surgical back pain for a living and have done so for 25 years. If you are a golfer with recurrent back pain and follow the exercise routine in this DVD you may have less back pain after 4 to 6 weeks due to improved spinal “core stability”. If you do the drills you will also hit the ball more solid and straighter more frequently. Following the DVD program over this past winter, I was recently able to escape the snow and play some golf in Maui. My second round in 4 months - I shot my handicap (10) at Kapalua, a PGA tour course I had never played before. Obviously, your milage will vary and simply “owning” the DVD will certainly not result in this kind of improvement. However, if you spend 1/2 hour 3 times per week you will notice an improvement in your core and extremity strength. Forget the gym membership, buy a physio ball and this DVD. This is probably the cheapest golf exercise/improvement DVD available and yet may be the best one you can buy at any price.5 Stars Absolute Genius.
Just bought your Video “How to improve your golf game Indoors”.By far this is the best improvement drills and exercises DVD that I have bought.I started doing the drills and exercises right after the holidays ( had to get in all the good meals before I started )and I have already seen tremendous results.I had a bad habit of pulling, topping and not getting any distance or accuracy on my hits. After doing your drills and exercises for only two and half weeks,I’m hitting all my shots straighter, and further. My accuracy has improved 100%.Thank you for putting out an exercise program that works and drills that show immediate results.I hope to get to one of your schools some time this year. Again thank you for putting out this outstanding DVD.I’m excited about my progress and looking forward to a reduced handicap and lower scores.

5 Stars Straightfoward, affordable, efficient
I ordered this bike from Golf Outlets of America for $159.99 (including tax and shipping) on April 15, 2009 and received it on April 21st, 2009 with standard UPS shipping. Nothing was damaged; it was packed well. My roommates and I put it together in 30 minutes without the instructions (they were included, but incomprehensible to us, since we have not assembled a bike before). Assembly was very straightforward.I am of average health and have owned one exercise bike (Confidence 2 in 1 Elliptical Cross Trainer & Exercise Bike) prior to this purchase, on which a screw holding the right pedal stripped down so that it could not be held in anymore. The day that it broke down, I ordered this one. Although I had trained on the previous bike for about 6 months for an hour each day at the highest resistance, this new bike’s resistance is far more challenging. It has 8 resistance settings, and I feel that 4 on this bike is equivalent to the highest setting on the previous one.
Some people have mentioned limits to the seat height range: I am 5′0, and the bike fits nicely at the lowest setting. I am also a student: although there is no actual book stand, my books sit well on the resistance knob at the front of the bike and lay on the handles. Others have mentioned that this bike is very quiet, and I was skeptical while making the purchase, but it is surprisingly quiet, even when using higher resistances and on wood floors.
The seat is hard, like the 2 in 1 bike, but after having ridden for awhile on the previous one, it does not bother me. One of my roommates sits on either a towel or a pillow and says that it takes care of the problem. I have not tried the gel pads available.
I am very happy with this purchase so far (some have mentioned that there were problems after a month of usage, so I will wait and see) and do recommend it to anyone who is considering. I hope this information is helpful.
5 Stars Confidence Foldable Stow Away Exercise Bike
Just what I need in my cubicle at work. Quiet and stowable. It is a sturdy bike and comfortable. It works well for my out-of-shape office spread. It’s easy to just get on the bike for 2-5 minutes and wake up my brain. Fairly easy to assemble - you have to search for all of the parts though so look thoroughly. I’m thinking of getting one for home too - because it is quiet enough to ride and watch tv too without turning up the sound. Around $159 with shipping - definitely affordable.4 Stars Not very adjustable, but works.
Don’t expect to adjust anything except the seat up and down, the bike pretty much has only two modes, folded and ride. Not the best instructions for putting it together, but there aren’t a lot of ways to mess that up. It is fairly silent, as I ride it in the middle of the night with no fear of disturbing my neighbors who I can hear open a soda can through the walls. The seat is somewhat uncomfortable, but you get use to it after a couple days. All in all, a very solid exercise bike, with no real amenities, but very affordable.
5 Stars Great Bike for the money
I bought this bike about a week ago and it is fantastic. I was skeptical at first because of the fact that it was cheaper than most bikes and that it folds up, but I am glad to say that I was wrong. This bike is bang for the buck. I am limited in space so it works out perfect for me. Putting the bike together was fairly easy, but I do have to say the peddles did give me a little of problem. When putting them on make sure your facing the bike, trust me it makes a world of difference. Also when you put the handle bars on make sure you first put the arm for the monitor on first. By doing this you are saving yourself the torture of unscrewing those long screws out and back in again. The only con I have is that the seat is a little uncomfortable, so I recommend that you go out and buy a gel seat pad between 15 and 20 bucks. All in all this is a great bike and worth the money.5 Stars Great Investment
This bike is fantastic, the far best purchase I’ve made in a long time. This bike arrived quickly in great shape an exceeded my expectations. I read the other reviews and despite the negative ones I still made the purchase. Fortunately I don’t have any problems, the bike’s quite and the tension settings are fine. At first they seemed too easy, but after a while they almost seemed to tense up. It’s an ideal bike especially for the price and I love it.Frommers Boston 2009 Frommers Complete

User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars Good Information
This is a good book, especially for someone visiting Boston for the
1st time.4 Stars Very good guide book, especially for those with kids
This is a very good guide book in its comprehensiveness, ease of use, helpful “star” rating system and special effort to make note of good family activities/locations. If you have kids, this is a great choice! However, because this book is written by one author, I don’t find it equally strong in every category. But overall, it’s very good and I recommend it!5 Stars Frommer’s Bostson 2009
Contents are comprehensive and informative, helping our (expanded) family to plan a visit to Boston. It’ll be put to the “acid” test the week of July 4.3 Stars Fine overview, but not enough detail.
I purchased this book for a week of solo sightseeing before a friend’s wedding. The walking tours looked great on the page, but were difficult to follow in reality and had very little information about each sight (luckily the most famous walking tour in Boston, The Freedom Trail, is marked by a red or brick line throughout the city so no directions are needed). I never found any incorrect information, but it all felt very cursory and left me looking online or calling locations for more detail. My primary problem with the book was the lack of dining information - it listed so few restaurants that it was nearly impossible to find one in my area and my price range at any given time. The best tip from the book was one that even my friends who visit Boston frequently didn’t know about - the 7-day T-Pass sold at any ticketing kiosk offered huge savings for all public transport - only $15. I’m not sure there are a lot of better options out there for Boston guidebooks, so just make sure to gather some extra information before you go and avoid relying solely on this book.5 Stars Don’t leave home without it
We used Frommer’s in a recent train trip, and this was the first major city we visited on the trip. And it made me thankful that I purchased the editions for the other cities we later visited. I had visited Boston once before a decade and a half ago, but this time I had three children in tow. I wanted to make sure that we paced ourselves for the three days that we were there, and the book allowed me to do so. I was able to pick activities that the kids would like–including the Freedom Trail, a short 1-hour cruise to the USS Constitution, and Fenway Park. Frommer’s has an excellent Freedom Trail section that you will want to keep your finger in as you walk along site by site. There were many excellent suggestions the book made about a number of things, including a short (positive) review about our hotel (the Midtown Hotel, which we were extremely pleased with in regards to location and price). Except for being wrong on some of the admission prices to some of the sites–just a buck or two–the book was fairly accurate in everything else we looked up, which I thought was pretty impressive. In addition, I recommend picking up an Entertainment book for your city–they’re only $10 after the spring–as we used food and entertainment coupons in Boston that saved us more than $100. Two-fer-ones and excellent discounted fares made it more bearable to do a few extras, especially for us on a limited budget. Whether or not you’ve been to Boston before, I highly recommend Frommer’s for getting around with the best possible information at your fingertips.David Leadbetter From Beginner to Winner
